• Thank you for your participation in the Advent Program on Monday evening. We counted 45 students (out of 56), and 160 adult guests, which is a fabulous crowd.

• Our Food Drive winner was Team Robbins, who earned a Christmas Party today. Team Robbins had 1,533 points. Team Brinson had 1,160 points, and the Team McKinley/Smith had 351 points. In total, our school donated 2,218 items to the Saint Lawrence Church Food Pantry! Thank you for modeling the Christian virtue of Generosity to your children throughout December.

• Congratulations to our December Virtues in Practice recipients! Here’s how Parker Evans and Bryson Fairchild modeled Generosity (giving without counting the cost):

“Parker is always very generous by helping me in the library, and in after-school care. He never asks for anything in return. I never have to ask for his help, he always offers it.” -Mrs. Cunnington

“I have seen him several times this month overhear a student say, ‘ I don’t have anyone to play with.’ Bryson will put down his toy and offer to play with that person. Very sweet”. -Mrs. McKinley

The January virtue is Gratitude (seeing everything as a gift and being thankful).

• Over Christmas Break, please work to get more Mystery Dinner sponsors. Sponsor forms and money can be turned in to the school office when we return to school in January.
• We will not be in session tomorrow or Friday due to Christmas Break. School resumes on Tuesday, January 2, 2018.

• After-School Tutoring will resume on January 2.

• Girls’ Basketball practice will resume on January 2, 4:30-5:30PM.

• There will be no Grade 4 tutoring on Thursday, January 4.

• Our Uniform Policy does not allow boots to be worn during any school day, including Casual Days. Also, students should wear all-white socks that completely cover the ankle.

• Our school will participate in the Walk a Mile in My Shoes event organized by the Muncie Mission. The event will be held on the morning of February 10, 2018. Please mark your calendars. I’ll share more details after Christmas.
