Thank you for bringing your child(ren) to Mass today. Our next Mass will be Wednesday, September 6.
Thank you for having your kids ready for Picture Day today. If your child did not turn in a packet with payment, the photographer will still accept orders with payment tomorrow and Friday. If you need an order form, stop by the office.
Several students did not wear school uniforms today (which was allowed), so they will need to have their pictures taken again with white polo shirts on picture retake day, November 8. The students who were absent today will need to get their picture taken then as well.
The final day to order Volleyball T-shirts is tomorrow. Order forms and payment must be received tomorrow.
Order Forms and payment for uniforms and grey jackets are due tomorrow. Order Forms were emailed to families on August 25. If you need another form, contact the office. We’ll place a group order after school tomorrow, the jackets should be in a week or two after.
We will not be in session on Monday, September 4 (Labor Day). Enjoy the three-day weekend and travel safely if you take a trip!
The next P.T.O. meeting is Thursday, September 7, at 6:30 PM. The main focus will continue to be on the Fall Festival planning.
A meeting for the Fall Festival Planning Committee will be September 14.
There will be no raffle at this year’s Fall Festival. We’ll do a raffle later in the year, and we’ll need all of our school families to help sell tickets. More details to come.
Friday, September 8, is our first Movie Night. We will have eight Movie Nights this year. Movie Nights begin at 5:00PM and end at 7:00PM, and they are held at the school. These evenings are fun for the children and serve as fundraisers for our classrooms. A purple form will be sent home with each child on Tuesday of next week explaining the details and how to sign up your child to attend. We’ll show “SMURFS” on September 8.
Monday, September 11, will be “Red, White and Blue Day”. Students will be allowed to wear patriotic clothing to school. Students are encouraged to dress in red, white and blue, and casual clothing (jeans, t-shirts, etc.) is allowed on this day. More detail in next week’s newsletter.
During the week of September 25-29, SLCS will have a Box Tops contest. The class that submits the most Box Tops will receive a Sundae Bar during the school day! Please start collecting Box Tops now. I will send a separate email later today with further details.
Two pairs of new boys all-black dress shoes were recently donated to the school. If a boy in your family could use a pair of size 10 or size 12 shoes, contact the office. First come, first served.
